SUNDAY MORNINGS - FALL 2010

You are invited to take an exciting new venture with us this fall as we offer four small groups for adults on Sunday mornings.    A small group study is a great way to get connected with other church friends, deepen your understanding and knowledge of a topic, and grow in your relationship with God.

There are sign up sheets outside the sanctuary for each of these classes.  All groups will meet at 10:00 a.m. beginning September 12th.

FAITHLINK

Apply your United Methodist beliefs to current faith issues and world events. This study not only motivates Christians to consider their personal views on important contemporary issues, it also encourages them to act on their beliefs.  Each participant will receive materials for the study on a weekly basis via email or regular mail.

PRAYER & SPIRITUALITY

Grow in your prayer and spiritual life.  Journey through various prayer styles that enable you to enrich your spiritual life.  Meet in the chapel.

Leader:   Rev. Digna Campanano

SCRIPTURE DETECTIVES

Together we will look for the common themes between the Lectionary readings for the upcoming week.  The Lectionary is the collected scripture readings that follow a three-year cycle in many Christian churches.

SERVANT OR SUCKER?

Wise & Compassionate ways to Help the Poor

This video based series helps viewers discern appropriate, Christ-centered actions when it comes to addressing poverty.  Someone approaches you and asks for money.  What do you do?  No one wants to be a sucker in these situations but at the same time Jesus' call to help the poor echoes in our hearts and minds.
