Wesley United Methodist Church is proud to offer the Aurora land community a concert and culture series for 2010  All events will be held in our social hall on our newly renovated stage.

Cultural & Fine Arts Series hosts February 13

Special for Sweethearts

Come February 13 at 7:00 p.m. and join our guest singers, the Legacy Girls who will be offering a wide array of music from many decades for your listening and dancing pleasure. Delicious appetizers, specialty, non alcoholic drinks, and decadent sweets are included in this fun filled night, along with "sweetheart activities" and prizes. Commemorative photos will be available and to top the evening off and to solidify the love you and your sweetheart share, an optional group "wedding vow renewal". Free babysitting available. 

Appalachia Night set for April 24

The Cultural & Fine Arts Series in conjunction with the Mission committee has scheduled an Appalachian Night of dinner & music on April 24, 2010 and are excited to announce that Common Strings, a contemporary Bluegrass group has been booked. They provide a free gospel ministry and they have received accolades from such groups as the Emmy Lou Harris Band.  You can learn more about them at www.commonstrings.com The event will be free, but reservations will be required and a free will offering will be taken.

This year Wesley's Mission Team will be celebrating 15 years of mission work at Henderson Settlement, located in Frakes Kentucky. The Mission Team and the Fine Arts Committee will be hosting Appalachia Night, this FREE event. Come join us for a traditional country dinner. Dinner will include ham, grits, biscuits and much, much more for your dining pleasures. Our guest speaker during dinner will be Jerry Lambden, Work camp director at Henderson. A silent auction will take place to help raise funds for the 2010 trip to Henderson. We will be featuring, in concert, Common Strings, a bluegrass gospel group from Tennessee (http://www.commonstrings.com).
