Jonas Nightengale (Steve Martin) is a fraudulent Christian faith healer who makes a living traveling around America holding revival meetings and conducting 'miracles' with the help of his friend and manger, Jane, and their entourage.  One of their trucks breaks down in Rustwater, a town in desperate need of rain to save their crops.  While waiting for spare parts, Jonas decides to hold a revival meeting in the town.  The local sheriff, Will Braverman, is skeptical and tries to prevent his town and its people from being conned.  However a local disabled boy, Boyd, believes Jonas could make him walk again.  Events in Rustwater make Jonas examine his own faith and doubts.

May 26 - Taking Chance
Taking chance is a profoundly emotional look at the military rituals taken to honor its war dead, as represented by a fallen Marine killed in Iraq, Lance Corporal Chance Phelps.  His body was brought home to America by Lt. Col. Strobl who happened to hail from the same town as Chance Phelps.  Strobl discovers the great diligence and dignity in how the military, and all those involved with preparing and transporting the body, handle their duties.  equally important, he encounters hundreds of people affected by Chances death, a vast majority of whom never knew him.

June 23 - Raising Flagg
Oscar winner, Alan Arkin, stars as Flagg Purdy, a lovable, but stubborn father of six who is easily overwhelmed by life's little annoyances.  When a silly argument with his neighbor sends Flagg into believing he is dying, his devoted wife and his estranged children are brought together where sibling conflicts and long-simmering resentments ultimately bring this dysfunctional family closer together.

July 28 - Blindside
Michael Oher (Quinton Aaron) knows little about family.  Less about football.  What the homeless teen knows are the streets and projects of Memphis.  Well-to-do Leigh Anne Tuohy (Sandra Bullock) knows little about his world.  Yet when she and Michael meet, he's found a home.  And the Tuohys have found something just as life-changing:  a beloved new son and brother.  This real-life story of family and of Michael's growth into a blue-chip football star will have you cheering with its mix of gridiron action and heartwarming emotion.

August 25 - Waiting for Superman
In Waiting for Superman, David Guggenheim's riveting documentary about America's chool systems, he asks the question many parents have been asking.  If our teachers are central to the performance of a school, how can we reconcile poor performance with an uncritical view of teachers?  Are bad schools only in slums?  Can children brought up in poverty excel in school?

September 22 - Freedom Writers
Based on a true story of a young teacher who inspires her class of at-risk students to learn tolerance, gain respect of themselves and others, and thus rekindle hopes and dreams in the hearts.

October 27 - North Country
When Josey Aimes (Charlize Theron) returns to her hometown in Northern Minnesota after a failed marriage, she needs a good job.  a single mother with two children to support, she turns to the predominant source of employment in the region - the iron mines.  The mines provide a livelihood that has sustained a community for generations.  The work is hard but the pay is good and friendships that form on the job extend into everyday life, bonding families and neighborhoods with a common thread.

November 17 - The Nativity
It was the cruelest of times.  Under Herod's torturous reign, families struggled to survive and yet, in the midst of utter turmoil, a young woman's faith is put to the test.  Join Mary (Keisha Castle-Hughes) and Joseph (Oscar Isaac) on an incredible journey of hope and discovery.  Epic in it's scope, yet intimate in it's portrayal of the holy family, this "wonderful film" (Bill Zwecker, Chicago Sun Times) brings to life the story of Christmas.
