Personal Hygiene

Supervised handwashing takes place daily as the children arrive for school.  Supervised handwashing also takes place after using the sensory table, after playing on the playground, after bathroom breaks and befor snacks.

     Handwashing Procedure:

          1)  Wet hands under warm running water.

          2)  Use soap from the soap dispensers and lather both hands well for at least 15 seconds.

          3)  Rinse hands thoroughly under warm running water.

          4)  Dry both hands with paper towels.

          5)  Turn off the water using a paper towel to avoid re-contaminating hands.

Clothing for School

Play clothes are recommended for preschool so children are ready to work with paste, paint, clay,etc.  Clothes should be washable.

Clothes that are easily removed help your child when using the bathroom. Avoid clothing that requires adult help, such as belts, defficult buttons, and snaps.
