About United Methodist Men at Wesley United Methodist Church

Wesley United Methodist Men (UMM) is a group of men getting together monthly to participate in Fellowship and the opportunity to grow spiritually.  The Spiritual Growth includes devotions at the unit meetings, sharing of God's blessings, and attendance at Aurora District UMM and Northern Illinois Conference UMM events.  Service activities have included work projects at Wesley and opportunities to participate in projects at Conference Camps and other sites. 

We are also the Chartering Organization for Boy Scout Troop 11, which meets weekly in the Scout Room at Wesley UMC.  We assist with their fund raisers, which includes helping in the preparation of meals at the Annual Fay's Pork Chop BBQ.  One of our member's provides leadership to the Boy Scouts working to earn their Religious Awards.  Wesley UMM also sponsors the Annual Ice Cream Social, each August, with the proceeds going to benefit the Boy Scout Troop, the Wesley Outreach Committee, Salvation Army and the Wayside Cross Mission.  $600.00 was shared after the 2008 Social.

UMM is open to men of all ages wanting to share in the challenges of Spiritual Growth, sharing their Faith, engaging in Service activities and enjoying a good time in Fellowship.  Please check our website calendar and our bulletin board in the Social Hall, and join in at coming future events.  Let me know your questions!
