Dear Parents,

NO SCHOOL - Fri. Feb. 12, Mon. Feb. 15, and Fri. Feb. 26, 2010

GROUNDHOG DAY was Tuesday, February 2, 2010.  He did see his shadow.  As legend has it, if a hibernating animal sees its shadow on Feb. 2, winter will last another six weeks.  If no shadow is seen, legend says spring will come early.  I guess we have six more weeks of winter!

UMCOR HEALTH KITS:  Thank you to everyone who has sent items for these Health Kits.  We will accept items during the coming week.

TUITION IS DUE FOR FEBRUARY:

Please send your tuition payment to school between February 1^st and 10^th.  

BOY SCOUT TROOP 11 SPONSORING FAY'S BAR-B-QUE:

The members of Wesley Church's Boy Scout Troop 11 have helped Wesley Nursery School whenever we have needed help for our school facility.  Now is a time we can help them raise money for scout activities.  They are sponsoring a Fay's Bar BQ here at Wesley Church on Thursday, February 18 from 4:30 pm to 7:00 pm.   Buy your tickets, and drive through the "DRIVE THROUGH" to quickly pick up your order to take home or come into the church for a sit down dinner with dessert.  Either way it is an easy, delicious meal.  An order form was sent home last week.  If you need another form just call me and I will send a new one home with your child.

LIBRARY BOOKS: 

We have received Coupons from Colonial Café to reward the children who have read 1000 minutes with their parents this school year.  Keep reading!  When your child has read 1000 minutes, he/she will receive a coupon for an ICE CREAM SUNDAE FROM COLONIAL CAFÉ.

Brandon Aguilar and Jacob Williams in the Red Room are winners this week. 

Thank you for keeping and turning in your Reading Logs each week.  A good guide to reading time with your child is 20 minutes a day.   Enjoy reading books with your child.  You will help your child to become a lifelong reader!!

VALENTINE'S DAY CELEBRATION:

Because there is no school on Friday, Feb. 12, we will celebrate Valentine's Day on Thursday, February 11, 2010.   Teachers will contact their Room Parents for Special Treats.
